Movie quiz forms part of 200 celebrations

We are presenting a Movie Quiz on 12 September to celebrate the 200th anniversary of ABC. The quiz, which is free of charge and includes a light meal, is open to the community of Attleborough and surroundings on a first booked, first served basis. It will be presented by Andy Godfrey, a well-known film critic and author of Faith on Film, Confessions of a Christian Film Critic.

What to expect

Food first: The event will start with a light meal.
The quiz: We encourage people to form teams of six. Individuals will be allocated a team.
The format: The quiz will include various rounds – from movie taglines to movie stars, famous quotes and film clips. Andy will close off with a view into the soul of cinema itself and the intersection of faith and film. An entertaining, family friendly time with nothing too hard or strenuous.
Venue: Attleborough Baptist Church, Leys Lane, NR17 2HX

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is if you are planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning. We are friendly and look forward to seeing you!

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. When you arrive, you will be greeted at the door by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service.  It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Who can Come

Anyone!

What about my kids?

We welcome children and they will be catered for.

Other Ways of Getting Connected

Warm Welcome

We welcome everyone from Attleborough and surrounding towns or villages to our weekly Warm Welcome get-together on Tuesdays between 10am and 1pm. This is a great place to connect, make new friends and have fun as we roll out the mat for carpet bowls and haul out the Scrabble, puzzles and games. And of course there will be tea, coffee and biscuits.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team.
